Olga Kisseleva

“Memory Garden” is a research project by artist Olga Kisseleva and scientist Christophe Petiot in collaboration with the Kiev based Memory Lab organization. The project is part of the long term research EDEN (Ethical Durable Ecology Nature). EDEN is a new kind of organic network based on vegetal medium. Vegetal species can communicate with their environment. The communication can be established between trees of the same species, but it can also be addressed to a different organism: insect, or animal, including human. EDEN transforms this encrypted communication into a comprehensive and open network. The trees included into the project can talk together across continents. In Ukraine Olga worked with special local trees in Baby Yar memorial in Kiev.

My project supported by i-Portunus consisted in the research work I accomplished in Kiev in order to produce an artwork which will be presented the exhibition organized by my partner BYHMC, and scheduled from the end of January 2020.
