Marina Donatone

Choreographer and dancer Marina Donatone applied for mobility support for production-oriented residencies in Sweden and Germany to work on her dance project.
VÀGO is a contemporary dance creation project exactly on moving, proceeding together. In Italian VÀGO means I wander, and at the same time vague, but also graceful.VÀGO is therefore about going without knowing exactly where, but doing it and discovering together. In fact, at its basis is a practice on constructing a shared trajectory in space,in which each passage is not the result of a negotiation between two parts, but is body and articulation of the relationship in which they are included. The trajectory thus becomes the object of this common incision on time and space. The expected result is the creation of the piece, the development of a specific ballet upper body work as a choreographic tool and public sharings in order to reach out for future dates and new supporters. VAGO involves two dancers, a ballet coach from the Folkwang and a dramaturg and it is going to be attended by curators, programmers and students and local audience.
Having brought my project abroad made new dialogues and eyes on the process possible, as well as new contacts that may become future collaborations.
