Davis Freeman was invited by Cão Danado to create a new performance in the Parque de Devesa in Familiacao. By collaborating with the natural and man-made spaces in the park Davis Freeman and his team developed movements, text and installations to take a local audience on a unique journey of a park they know quite well. The final piece was called “It all comes out at night” and was a visual dance performance in the dark. Using movement, costumes, video, lights & fire he created visual hallucinations for the imagination. This project was a collaboration with the core performance crew of Cão Danado and with with 15 dance and theatre students. The performances were free and open to all in Familiacao.
This mobility support made it possible for us to experiment and help realize our artistic vision within the context of a park.
