Antonia Beermann

Dramaturg and performer Antonia Beermann from O-Team was invited to the “International Theater Festival Altofest” in Naples. In the production “Dark Matter” the group tries to cope with feeling guilty about the state of the world, but their technical equipment starts to develop its own mind and voices their view on who is to blame. Awkward attempts on atonement and conflicting narratives gleefuly collide to an eclectic theater event on responsability, greenwashing, dark matter and narcissism. In Naples O-team got the chance to further explore this topic in collaboration with local and international artists. During the residency artists and citizens lived together. Combining a residency program of 10 days with a festival showcase, Beermann wanted to find out how the project would change through the collaboration with an Italian actor and musician. The result was presented for the local Napolitan community as well as an audience of international festival goers and programmers.

The festival was a great chance to connect with locals as well as artists from all over the world.
