The Goethe-Institut is the Federal Republic of Germany’s worldwide cultural institute. With 157 institutes in 98 countries around the world, we promote the study of German abroad, engage in international cultural exchange and convey an up-to-date image of contemporary Germany. Thanks to partnerships with institutions in many other locations, the Goethe-Institut has about a thousand points of contact worldwide. As a national and European integration, and in our various activities we steadfastly strive to reinforce the core values of the European Union: liberty, equality and openness. The Goethe-Institut maintains 52 institutes in Europe.
The Institut français is a Public Agency responsible for French cultural actions abroad, under the supervision of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and of the Ministry of Culture. It promotes cultural dialogue and the French language worldwide. Therefore Institute français works to foster cultural understanding and promotes the mobility of artists, artworks and ideas, thanks to the vast network of Institut français as well as Alliances françaises.
IZOLYATSIA is a non-profit, non-governmental platform for cultural initiatives, founded in 2010 on the site of a former insulation factory based in Donetsk. IZOLYATSIA is a platform for research, discussion, and the presentation of substantiated socio-political problems at differing scales of the local and global context. Through artistic practice, the foundation aims to change public opinion on politically sensitive themes and marginalized communities. IZOLYATSIA realises projects that lie on the boundary between modern art and civil society, and works in the following areas: research, site-specific projects, exhibitions, and residencies. IZOLYATSIA is a platform for cultural initiatives. It is a multidisciplinary cultural project open to all genres of creative expression. It is a point of intersection for all those who are passionate about cultural and social change.
European Cultural Foundation
(ECF) was created in 1954 as its founders envisioned a united Europe where citizens feel proudly European, a place where they can live, express themselves, work and dream freely, in diversity and harmony. Ever since the ECF promotes a European sentiment through developing and supporting cultural initiatives that let us share, experience and imagine Europe. We believe our mission is as urgent now as it was back then.
Kultura Nova Foundation is a public foundation that provides financial support to civil society organizations in the field of contemporary arts and culture in Croatia through publishing of public calls on an annual basis. Kultura Nova continually works on the improvement of grant giving process through networking and exchange of examples of good practices with experts from other European foundations. Activities of the Foundation further include research, educational programs and policy making, while thematic areas include working conditions in the arts and cultural sector, cultural management and cultural policy, cultural participation, participatory governance and cultural democracy.
MitOst e.V. is a non-profit association with over 1,400 members in more than 40 countries. We support cultural exchange, active citizenship, social cohesion and sustainable urban and rural development in the European Neighbourhood and beyond. We bring together people from across cultures, countries and communities and create space for vivid dialogue and impactful action at eye level. We understand ourselves as a platform for initiating cross-border projects and programmes in cooperation with various partners.
